Where are the classes run:
Classes are run from a dedicated workshop near the centre of Mullumbimby. There is plenty of parking available.
What should I wear?
Being a workshop environment covered shoes are a must. Wear comfortable clothes that you’re happy to get a little dirty and dusty. Aprons are provided for students, along with all necessary protective equipment.
What should I bring?
Please bring a water bottle. Coffee, tea and light refreshments are provided.
What tools will we be using?
Students will be taught to use a range of hand and power tools, along with larger machinery. All classes strive to balance the finesse and intimate knowledge that comes with working by hand with the efficiency of modern machinery. Each student has access to their own dedicated set of hand tools.
Are materials included?
For all short courses and set projects during term classes, materials are included. For private classes, and self directed projects during term classes materials can be sourced independently or purchased through the school.
What if classes are booked out?
Places are limited so please book early if you’d like to join us. If a class is booked out please get in touch via email. We try our best to accomodate everyone.
I have prior wood working experience, can I skip ahead in the term classes?
Generally, no. These classes are designed to impart a strong foundational knowledge in fine woodworking. If you have prior experience and a clear idea of what you’d like to make, our private classes are the right path.
Is there a minimum age?
Yes, to join our classes the minimum age is eighteen.
